crazy thursday.

I had work all day long came home to my front door window being broken and shattered glass every where. Now my roommate and I live in what is called an In-Law home...for those who dont know what it is, its basically the owners of a home make their downstairs, or garage into a small apartment whether it be a 1 bedroom, studio or in our case a 2 bedroom. Anyway, the older people who live upstairs do not speak one word of english, so when i attempted to go and ask if they knew how our door window got broken I got nothing except a yelling chinese woman...if that wasnt enough I did not have my landlords number on hand so I was stressing out because glass was every where...It felt as if it was done on purpose just because Im assuming if it was an accident someone would of cleaned it up NOT just left it there (now i forget to mention the way the house is set up we get into our place through the side garage door that I, my roommate, the dog walker ,our landlord, and our landlords son who is the owner of the dog has keys to get in...SO it has to be one of them right...? I finally get my landlords number and explain to her my side of what happened and I explained how I have no idea how this happened but that if it was an accident I would of expected someone to clean it up instead of leaving broken glass every where because clearly you would be able to see/hear if you some how accidently broke a window! ALSO side note, we've been having issues with the landlords son's dog in which stays at our place when her son has his own house, he does NOT take care of his dog, in fact he has left it out in the rain over night many nights in a row and my roommate and I have had to take it in to the garage because of its non-stop crying/barking. It seems clear to me that he doesnt want the dog, so we asked the landlord to please have the dog be moved because it constantly barks/cries ALL day and ALL night long because no one is there to play with it, etc. The son (owner of the dog) refused to do so because the previous tenants before us NEVER complained about the dog being too loud. So for the past month we have been trying to come up with solutions to where we are ALL happy and where we ALL can get some nice sleep!

So after I call the landlord and tell her what had happened to the window, she claims and tells me she thinks her son (owner of the dog) did this on purpose...now I am freaking out because how unsafe is it to live some where, where someone is that unhappy or mad at you to smash someone's window in...?! I told the landlord that I nor my roommate feel safe or comfortable knowing that he may have done this on purpose out of anger of us complaining over and over again about his dog. So now we are having to face waiting because our landlord assured us we are safe and nothing like this would ever happen again because she is going to make sure of it...UGHHH soooo stressful!!!

I just dont get it, I dont get why people lie about things when people come and look to potentially rent a place...because I specifically asked if their dog was noisy and barked a lot BEFORE deciding to live here because I do not like hearing a constant bark and being kept up, I just wont tolerate it, ESPECIALLY when they clearly dont want/dont take care of their dog properly!

SIGH...ok done venting! Sorry but It is still hard to wrap my head around someone who does something like that. I just dont get it.

On a brighter note, look at these wonderful spaces! I wish I had awesome places/furniture like this:

  1. honestly if it were me I would find the dog a better home and tell them it ran away... or move... because this situations seems scary. At least none of your belongings were taken. I assumed your house had been broken into at first.
