in two days...

I will be in Chicago, visiting a very close friend who I havent seen in years being we have been thousands of miles apart. I cant wait to see her again.

Its nothing like having a friend who you have been friends with since early middle school, and who knows you to the core. A friend who you dont need to talk to every day, or every week in that matter, to know you guys are still close friends who care about each other. I know even with thousands of miles between us, she will always answer my phone calls and would do just about anything for me. I definitely need the week off for a mini vacation! Can not wait!

something I collect.

I dont know about you, but I love opening cabinets and seeing a bunch of different colors. I love mixing and matching glasses and adding them to my collection. I love solid colors, patterns, shapes and textures.

eventually, I will have too many for my cabinet to hold. Once we get a bigger place, I would love to get a china cabinet to display them :)

what about you? Do you like mixing and matching your glasses? or having them all uniform? (its okay if you do, I wont judge you. haha)

hot, sunny day.

It was such a nice day out! The weather has been extra nice lately, I guess we are having an Indian summer? We havent had a nice heat wave the entire summer, until this past week. I know, I know, I have been saying over and over again that I want Fall to be here and I do, but I do appreciate the sunshine :)

pillow craze.

I love, love, LOVE, vintage needlework velvet throw pillows! They are so pretty and intricate. Today while lover face and I went thrifting I found such a pretty pillow, I am too lazy to photograph it right now, but here are some that are catching my eye on etsy :)

I cant wait for when lover face and I move and have a big enough place to have an actual couch to put such pretty throw pillows on. Lately when we are thrifting I find myself buying things that I will use once we move (I know, its not for another 7 months) I just cant pass up things that I know I would love to have once we have an actual house. Like today, I found this really pretty vintage yellow table cloth with fringe (that I will most definitely want to have for when we can get a dining table) for a table we dont even have right now because our place is too small! Can you tell I am sick of our tiny apartment that doesnt accommodate the things we enjoy to collect/make our place the vintage/thrifted haven we dream of?....okay enough complaining. Have a great day! Hope everyone enjoyed their holiday off! And for those who didnt have it off (like me) at least we got paid time & 1/2!

these boots were made for walkin...

Everyone who knows me, knows I pretty much only wear boots come fall time. So with that said, I of course need a new pair to start off the season right! Ive been looking more and more now that fall is only about a month away. I have found way too many boots that I want!
